AIM Associates wrote Technical Guidelines for Design and Specifications for Petaluma City Schools to be used by architects and engineers that are retained by the Petaluma City Schools to design modernizations, portable or new building projects.

The goal is to build “High Performance School Buildings” that are durable, low maintenance, healthy for the occupants, ecologically sustainable and cost effective. These Guidelines include best practice requirements for issues ranging from optimum orientation of buildings, daylighting, energy efficiency, renewable energy, indoor air quality, to durable/low maintenance materials.
